Our Team

Leroy is a Certified Insurance Counselor and Licensed Risk Manager with more than 30 years of experience in the insurance industry. Leroy has held various leadership positions within the industry at the local and state level. He currently holds, or has held, Agent Advisory Council positions with multiple insurance carriers, such as Travelers and United Fire Group. His Advisory Council Member status allows Perkins Insurance Agencies, LLC direct access to our carriers at an executive level on behalf of the clients we represent.

Leroy focuses on designing specific programs of insurance and risk management for our clients to ensure their risk is properly transferred and their assets are protected in the event of a loss. During his distinguished career, Leroy has provided council and expertise for our clients throughout the Big Country and the state of Texas.

Leroy is also actively involved in the leadership of SBMP, Inc., one of the premier agency groups in the state of Texas. Since joining SBMP, Inc. in 2005, Leroy has worked with the leadership of SBMP, Inc. to bring exponential growth to the group by seeking out and adding multiple premier agency owners and partners throughout the state of Texas. His efforts in this area continue and the future of SBMP, Inc and its agency partners continue to look better than ever.

Mark is the second generation of his family to be involved in Perkins Insurance Agencies, LLC. As a graduate of Abilene Cooper High School in 1994 and Abilene Christian University’s class of 1998, Mark has a lifelong history living and working in and around the Abilene area. Having dedicated himself to learning and practicing the principles of Insurance and Risk Management, Mark has obtained the prestigious Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Certified Risk Manager (CRM) designations. He has faithfully served the industry through involvement in the Abilene “Big I” Association and by serving on various agent advisory councils for the Independent Insurance Agents of Texas industry association.

Mark enjoys working with clients to protect their family’s assets through the purchase of personal insurance products and risk management. In addition, his area of expertise includes working with business clients by providing counsel and risk management advice to ensure their business is properly protected. Whether through the purchase of insurance or through other risk management and risk transfer techniques, Mark brings a depth of knowledge and experience to his clients allowing them to focus freely on pursing their goals. His focus in business insurance includes Oil & Gas, artisan and general contractors, bid and performance bonds, general business, trucking, restaurants, and all types of personal insurance policies.

Mark has two Children Mallory and Austin. Although not very good, Mark is an avid golfer! He loves to travel with his family, is involved with his kid’s sporting activities and has been known to be quite a singer. He currently serves on the board of directors for various charitable organizations and he and his family are active members at Beltway Park Church in Abilene.
